Please read these terms carefully before engaging with our services or purchasing our products.
General Terms
By accessing and using the CodeCircuit website and services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. CodeCircuit reserves the right to update or modify these terms at any time without prior notice. Your continued use of the site or services after any such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms and Conditions.
All prices listed on the website are subject to change without prior notice.
Software & Subscriptions
- Microsoft Office Professional: This is a life-time subscription. It is activated once and typically does not require annual renewal through CodeCircuit.
- Adobe Creative Cloud: This is a yearly subscription. It cancels automatically after one year. Clients are responsible for contacting CodeCircuit to initiate renewal for continued access.
- Trend Micro Antivirus: This is a yearly subscription. It cancels automatically after one year. Clients are responsible for contacting CodeCircuit to initiate renewal for continued protection.
- Activation & Support: CodeCircuit provides genuine licenses. Activation support is offered; ongoing technical support for the software itself falls under the respective software vendor's policies, however we may be of assisstance in certain aspects.
- Refunds: Due to the nature of software licenses, all sales are generally final once the license key has been delivered or activated. Exceptions are at the sole discretion of CodeCircuit.
Web Design Services
- Client Responsibilities: For all web design packages, particularly those involving e-commerce or custom functionality, the client is solely responsible for providing:
- Their own backend server infrastructure.
- A fully provisioned database (if required for the project).
- Activated accounts for all chosen payment gateways (e.g., PayFast, Yoco).
- All necessary API credentials, "bridges," or third-party service access required for integration.
- Exclusions: All quoted web design packages explicitly exclude domain registration and ongoing hosting costs. These are the client's responsibility.
- Payment Terms: A 50% upfront payment is required to commence any web design project. The remaining 50% is due upon project completion and client approval, prior to full deployment or handover.
- Project Scope & Revisions: Any changes or additions to the project scope beyond the initial agreement may incur additional charges and affect the project timeline. A reasonable number of revisions are included in each package; excessive revisions may be billed additionally.
- Content Responsibility: The client is responsible for providing all website content (text, images, videos, logos, etc.) unless content creation services are explicitly part of the agreed-upon package. Delays in content submission may affect project timelines.
Limitation of Liability
CodeCircuit shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages resulting from the use or inability to use our services or products, including but not limited to loss of data, profits, or business interruption.
We strive to provide reliable and secure services, but do not guarantee that our website or services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components. You use our services at your own discretion and risk.
Intellectual Property
All content on the CodeCircuit website, including text, graphics, logos, images, and software, is the property of CodeCircuit or its content suppliers and protected by international copyright laws.
Upon final payment for web design services, the client will own the intellectual property rights to the final website design and custom code developed specifically for them. CodeCircuit may retain rights to reusable code modules or design templates.
Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of South Africa, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
